    Testing of zippers by cyclic loading in accordance with DSTU EN 16732

    Zipper testing by cyclic loading is performed to evaluate their mechanical strength, durability, and reliability during repeated use.
    According to the requirements of the DSTU EN 16732:2017 (EN 16732:2015) standard, the zipper is subjected to repeated cycles of opening and closing under a specified load that simulates real operating conditions.

    During testing, the fastener’s ability to maintain functionality, integrity of links, moving parts, tape, and connections after a set number of cycles (usually 500 to 10,000) is monitored.
    Signs of wear, jamming, breaks, or deformations are also registered.

    The test results allow assessing the quality of zippers used in the manufacture of clothing, footwear, tourist equipment, personal protective equipment, technical textiles, and furniture.
